Frequently asked questions
The questions people actually ask before paying. If yours is not here, email support@pixelocraft.com and we will answer it — and probably add it to this page.
Pricing and credits
What is actually free?
Every tool gives you a real preview before you pay — not a blurred teaser. On the ID photo tool the free tier is a written compliance report on your photo (resolution, background, head size). On restore and cleanup you get a low-resolution preview of the actual result. Free previews are genuinely free: no card, no trial timer.
What is a credit worth?
One credit is about $0.062. Each tool states its credit cost before you confirm — e.g. restoring one photo costs 2 credits. The pricing page has the full cost table.
Do subscriptions auto-renew?
Yes, monthly or yearly depending on what you picked. Cancel any time from your account and it stops at the end of the current period. One-time purchases (Single Pass, ID Photo, Restore packs) never renew.
Do credits expire?
Subscription credits roll over while your subscription is active. One-time purchases expire if unused — the window is printed on the purchase page (30 days for Single Pass, 60 days for Restore packs).
Your photos and privacy
Do you keep my photos?
We store your upload and the result so your download link keeps working. They are deleted when you delete them, delete your account, or ask us to. We do not use your photos to train models and we do not sell them. Full detail: Privacy Policy.
Will my ID photo be altered?
No. We crop, resize, and replace the background only. We never change your facial features — that is deliberate: several countries (including Germany) require that a passport photo show your unaltered appearance, and beautifying your face would get it rejected.
What we will not do
Do you do face swap of real people?
No. Pixelo restyles your own photo. We do not provide face swap onto other real people and we do not generate sexual or non-consensual imagery of real individuals — no exceptions.
Can you remove a watermark from a stock photo?
Only from photos you own or have permission to modify. Our tool is built for removing a watermark from your own photo — a logo your studio stamped on your wedding pictures, a date stamp burned into a scan. Removing copyright management information from someone else's image can violate 17 U.S.C. §1202. You confirm ownership before the job runs.
Problems and refunds
A generation failed — did I lose credits?
No. Credits are reserved before the job and released automatically if it fails or times out. If you ever see credits deducted for a result you did not receive, email us and we will put them back.
My ID photo was rejected. Now what?
Send us the rejection notice and we refund you in full. That is the acceptance guarantee on the ID Photo product. Details: Refund Policy.
Can I get a refund on a subscription?
Yes, within 14 days of a renewal if you have used less than 20% of that period's credits. See the Refund Policy.
