Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you and Pixelo ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Pixelo, you agree to them. Plain-language summaries are included above each section — the detailed text is what governs.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be 16 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms — for example, one used to generate prohibited content or to abuse free previews at scale.
2. What the service does
Pixelo lets you upload a photo and process it with automated AI models. Each tool gives you a free preview first, so you can see whether the result is worth paying for. The full-resolution, watermark-free download is a paid action.
Results are generated by machine learning models. They are probabilistic: two runs of the same upload can differ, and we do not guarantee a specific aesthetic outcome.
3. Credits and subscriptions
Credits
Paid actions consume credits. The credit cost of each action is shown on the tool page before you confirm. Credits are deducted when a result is successfully delivered; if generation fails, the reservation is released and you are not charged.
Subscriptions
Subscription plans bill in advance on a monthly or yearly cycle and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund the current period except as described in our Refund Policy.
One-time purchases
Single Pass, ID Photo, and Restore packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They do not renew. They expire if unused — the validity window is stated on the purchase page.
4. ID photo acceptance guarantee
For the ID Photo product only: if the photo we deliver is rejected by the issuing authority for a formatting or compliance reason attributable to our output, send us the rejection notice and we will refund you in full. This is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under consumer law.
The guarantee covers our output — it does not cover rejections caused by your expression, accessories, or an original photo that was not sharp enough to begin with. Our free compliance check exists precisely to catch those cases before you pay.
5. What you must not do
You may not use Pixelo to:
- Place a real person's face onto another person's body (face swap of real people);
- Create sexual, nude, or sexualized imagery of real people, including minors — this is prohibited without exception and may be reported to law enforcement;
- Remove a watermark, copyright management information, or signature from an image you do not own and lack permission to modify. Removing copyright management information can violate 17 U.S.C. §1202 and equivalent laws in other countries;
- Create a false identity document, or alter an official document;
- Generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- Attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, or usage tiers.
Uploads are screened by automated moderation. We may refuse or remove any result and may close accounts that breach this section, without refund.
6. Your content and your rights to it
You keep ownership of your photos. Uploading a photo to Pixelo does not transfer any ownership to us.
You grant us a limited, revocable license to process your upload solely to deliver the service to you — including transmitting it to our inference provider for processing and storing the result so your download link works.
By default, results you generate are private. If you choose to publish a result to our public gallery, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it with the prompt used to create it, and you confirm you have the right to publish it.
You must own or have permission to use every photo you upload. You represent that your upload does not violate anyone's copyright, privacy, or publicity rights.
7. Payment and taxes
Payments are processed by Creem, our payment provider. We do not store your card number. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any taxes or duties that may apply in your jurisdiction. If a price is displayed incorrectly due to a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a given result will meet a specific authority's requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes to these terms or the service
We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give notice by email or in-app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already bought access to, we will offer a pro-rata refund for the unused portion.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.
